We run meal prep kitchens and we build meal prep software. This site is our honest look at every platform a meal prep business can choose from in 2026.
Our connection to Prepwork
Meal Prep Softwares is made by the family behind Prepwork. We are telling you that up front because you deserve to know it before you read a single ranking.
Yes, we rank Prepwork first. We think it earns that spot, and we show our work: every competitor price on this site comes from that company's own website, with the date we checked it and a link so you can check it yourself. If we ever get something wrong about another platform, email trevor@prepwork.io and we will fix it.
How we score every platform
Each platform gets a score out of 10, built from the things that actually decide whether a meal prep kitchen makes money:
Total monthly cost (25%)
The software fee plus setup fees, add-ons and transaction fees, at a real kitchen's order volume.
Texting cost (15%)
What it costs to send order updates, delivery texts and promos. This adds up faster than most owners expect.
Delivery built in (20%)
Route planning, a driver app and customer arrival texts, without paying for a separate delivery tool.
Ordering and kitchen tools (20%)
Weekly menus, cutoffs, subscriptions, prep totals, shopping lists and labels.
Support and custom builds (20%)
Can you reach a real person? Will they build the feature your kitchen needs?
