Bottle vs GoPrep
Bottle and GoPrep come up a lot when you're picking meal prep software, and they're built differently. Bottle leans on texting and marketing. GoPrep leans on kitchen tools like labels and inventory. Here's how they compare on real prices, and why we'd look at a third option first.
The short answer: Bottle costs the kitchen less, GoPrep charges customers less, and Prepwork beats both.
At 150 orders and 1,500 texts a month, the kitchen pays about $129 on Bottle, $384 on GoPrep and $39 on Prepwork. Neither Bottle nor GoPrep lists route planning or a driver app. Prepwork includes both.

Price
Bottle has the lower sticker price. Its Starter plan is free, but subscriptions only start on Growth at $99 a month, so most meal prep kitchens land there. Growth includes 500 texts. Scale is $299 a month with 1,000 texts. Bottle also offers a 14 day free trial.
GoPrep's Starter is $95 a month but stops at 100 orders. Past that, Pro is $249 a month. Texting is extra on both GoPrep plans. In every kitchen size we priced, Bottle Growth costs the kitchen less than GoPrep. Our GoPrep pricing breakdown has every add on.
Fees your customers pay
This is where GoPrep comes out ahead. Customers pay 1.35% to 1.5% at checkout on GoPrep. On Bottle, they pay 5% on Starter, 3.75% on Growth or 2.5% on Scale. Here's what that looks like when you add it to the kitchen's bill.
Kitchen bill plus customer fees, per month
150 orders at about $50 each ($7,500 in sales) and 1,500 texts. Card processing left out, since it's the same on all three.
Bottle and GoPrep end up closer than the plan prices suggest. Prepwork costs less than either, in total and for the kitchen.
Texting
Bottle is built around texting. Text to order, campaigns and reminders are the heart of it, and paid plans include texts. Extra texts run 2¢ to 4¢ depending on the plan. GoPrep's texting is a $15 a month add on plus 8¢ per text, so 1,500 texts costs $135. On Bottle Growth, the same 1,500 texts adds about $30.
Labels and kitchen tools
Both do well here. Bottle has macro, ingredient and allergen labels plus packing slips. GoPrep has a nutrition facts generator, label printing, production reports, inventory and shopping lists.
Delivery
Bottle offers pickup, delivery and shipping with zones and time slots, but the number of fulfillment methods is capped by plan: 1 on Starter, up to 5 on Growth, unlimited on Scale. GoPrep handles delivery days, distance, hours, fees, multiple pickup locations and splitting one order across days. Neither lists built in route planning or a driver app. Bottle sends orders to outside routing partners.
Support
Bottle offers help docs, email, monthly coaching and a Facebook community, which newer owners tend to like. GoPrep has a help center, email and tickets, with 30 days of onboarding on Starter and Pro. Account managers are Enterprise only.
